The Uniper Pension Plan (UPP) is a defined contribution (DC) pension arrangement.
Membership of the UPP, also known as the Plan, is open to all employees.
You will be automatically enrolled into the Plan, unless you ask to opt out. If you opt out then you will be automatically re-enrolled periodically as required under the automatic enrolment legislation.
The UPP is administered by Fidelity.
If you have any questions or if you would like more information about your UPP pension account, you can contact Fidelity's Pension Service centre.
You can also log in to Fidelity's online PlanViewer, which gives you access to your pension account whenever it suits you.
When you join the UPP, a DC pension account is set up in your name.
The money that you and the Company pay in is then invested into funds, with the aim of helping your pension account grow over time. There is a range of funds that you can choose from. These are provided by Fidelity, and other investment managers, and each has its own risks and aims. You can learn more about how this works on the investment and fund choices page. You can also view the full list of funds available on Fidelity's PlanViewer.
When you retire your pension account is used to provide benefits. How much you get will depend on:
The minimum contribution rate for UPP members is currently 3%. You can read more about these rates and how much the Company contributes on the your benefits page.
You can also pay more into your pension account, by switching to a higher contribution rate if you wish. You can find more information about saving more on the boosting my benefits page.
When you retire, or if you leave the Company, you have a number of options to take your pension account. Please read the information on the taking your pension account page to find out more.
You can learn more about the UPP and how it works in your key features document, and in the Uniper Pension Plan summary on the UPP forms and guides page.
You can read the latest updates from the UPP scheme administrator, Fidelity, on the news page.
